I still don't know how to put into words about how much I miss you Jake. You taught me so many things: independence, humility, honesty and most importantly, how to rock out like a true metal fan. Thank you for getting me into pirate metal, thank you for getting us safely to Delta every day, thank you for being kind and thank you for being a friend when I really needed one. Whenever I'm in a difficult situation now, I look up and think, "WWJD, What Would Jake Do?" I don't think I'll ever forget you. I'm just sorry you couldn't have stayed a little longer. Rest in Peace Jake.

I only knew Jake for the two years in college, but those two years felt like I knew him for much longer.  He loved his food, beer and gaming so much.  Jake was a good friend.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the Stevens Family.

I will always remember the first time I met Jake, and he carried out a long conversation even though we had never met before. We talked about music and school, and Jake told me that he would look out for me if I ever needed help at school. That just shows how caring and kind Jake was to everyone he met. I was speechless when I heard of Jacobs sudden passing.  Uncontrolable weeping took over me ... so sad that someone so caring, loving, kind and sweet was gone forever.  The only thing that came to mind was ... gone too soon. I am so happy that we knew him. Even if it was for such a short time.  The time was golden, priceless and unforgetable.  Just like Jacob. Thank You Jacob!

I remember jumping on Jake's back in the hallways at school and we'd (he'd, i was just on his back) run through groups of people just yelling whatever we could. I don't think I've met anyone else who's made the periods between classes so much fun. He was what we should all strive to be.

There are no words that will help ease the pain of this tragic loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jake was my brother all through highschool, I saw him everyday and he would great me with a big hug and a "Hey Steph!". He always had a loving smile and warmth about him, the kind that made you feel like the world was a better place just for knowing him. He was always there through the thick and thin, He protected me and watched over me like an older brother that I never had. He is a beautiful person, Inside and out and there is nothing that will replace him in my heart. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I met Jake at Niagara College two years ago. We were both in the same classes, and we got to know each other over the time we spent at college. Jake was always a positive person to be around and had a smile on his face everyday. Its times like these that make us all realize how short life is, and how valuable our time with you was. You were a great guy, but an even greater friend and I'm thankful for my time that I got to share with you. RIP my friend, you will NEVER be forgotten!

I had the honour of meeting this wonderful young man because he was going with my son Sab to Wasaga Beach after their Graduation from Aquinas.  My heart felt sympathies to his blessed mother, father, sister and family.  I did not know him very long but his sweet, kind smile made an impression on me.  My son's stories about that weekend with him always made us smile.  Dio benedici cara figlio.

Jake-thank you for letting me teach you how to waltz in your uncles kitchen. You brightened up every room.  You will be in my heart always!

Chris, Jeff and Raissa, our heartfelt condolences to you. I remember how Jake loved video games. How he and Pat would discuss them at Raissa and Stacey's lacross games and compete in Tetris. He was a great kid always so happy-go-lucky. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know Jeff Stevens from our medical industry associations. While I never met Jacob,it certainly sounds like he was greatly admired and loved.  I can only imagine the depth of grief and anger that the entire Stevens family is experiencing. I want to extend my sincere condolences to their entire extended family during this time of sorrow.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Stevens family during this difficult time. Jake always made us laugh, was so much fun to be around, and always made us smile. He always took the time to really talk to us, and there are no words to describe the loss. We will miss you very much.

I met Jake at college and even though I was slightly scared of him at first I quickly came to discover he was nothing but a teddy bear. He was the guy down the hall who always had a space to sit and play vidieo games, yummy food and good laughs. Even when he moved up a couple floors the draw to his smiles and the stabby stabby game (Soul Calibur) could not be ignored. Jake was provider hugs or a homework distraction (usually both) whenever needed.
I will never forget taking him out for his 19th birthday and being the only (and oldest) one at the table to be carded. Jake, our bear in the basement, you will always be fondly remember in my heart.

I met you at college, the first memory that comes to mind is of all the delicious pies you would bring home after baking class. You would bring them to your room and to your surprise me and Kat were always 5 minutes away ready to eat them up.  Over the 2 years that we went to college together we bonded and made lasting impressions on each other.  You taught me a couple things about cooking and in return I hope I taught you a little about plants too (leucanthemum superbum - Shasta daisy's).  I wish we kept in touch more after we moved out, I will always remember our bear in the basement and your memory will always be carried in my heart.

Jake's friendly, upbeat demeanor always brightened every room he entered.  Even to those who didn't get the chance to know him as well as they would've liked, he was well-worth meeting even, at least once if only for his gentleness and charm alone.  He will truly be impossible to forget.

I met Jake at Niagara College and the first time we talked he made me feel like we had been friends forever.  Jake was an extrondinary person and I am glad to have known him.  My heart goes out to his family.

I first met Jake at Niagara College, He an i had so much in common. I will never forget our weekend tradition; He brought the coffee i cooked the bacon and eggs :) Or our battling gingerbread houses, while listening to metal music. He was like a brother to me, always pushing me to do better. Even after school ended an we lost touch i still tell everyone i meet about all of the amazing times i shared with him. I knew Jake as a man who gave more in life than he was given. Playing video games with him was truly a fun experience. I'll miss him.

I will always remember first meeting Jacob playing football for the Brampton Bulldogs. I remember always talking to him during practices and on the bus to games. We were also team mates in rugby and he once again showed me how great of a team mate and a person he was. This World has lost a great person.

Jake was an awesome guy. Always easy to talk to. He was always able to give me advice, especially in the last few months. I regret not taking him up on his offer to go the the pub for a few beers. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. You will always be remembered.

I remember playing football for the Brampton Bulldogs with Jacob years ago when we were little kids. i lost touch with him after that time and got back in touch with him 4 years ago again by meeting up at summer school, Ever since we got back intouch i only spoke to him once in a while because he was a busy guy. but whenever i needed some brotherly advice on relationships, life or anything for that matter Jacob was always there to hear me out through my time of need.Jacob will be missed not only by me but by many of the peoples lives he has touched. R.I.P brother. I'll see you again one day.

I am truly sorry for you loss.  Jacob was like my baby brother growing up.  He would play pool with Raissa and I and go swimming and we always let him hang out with us.
