It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Keogh family announce the peaceful passing of John Keogh in Credit Valley Hospital on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Laura (nee Shakell) for 57 wonderful years. Loving father of Tom (Stephanie), Pat (Marlie), Susan, Janie (Joe), Betty Ann (Nort), Frank (Elly), Shaun (Kate), Danny (Gillian) and Phil (Kathy), predeceased by Bob (Sylvia). Cherished grandfather of 25 grand-children and 28 great-grandchildren. John will be missed by his surviving siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Family is grateful to all those involved in John’s care and to his many friends at the Wenleigh LTC Residence in Mississauga.
Family and friends may gather at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre - 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton (North of Steeles Avenue) 905-456-8190, on Sunday, August 26th ,2018 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, 187 Conestoga Dr, Brampton, Ontario, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10am.. Interment at St James Catholic Cemetery in Colgan, Ontario, at 2pm. Following the burial a reception and memorial gathering will be held at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 329 at 25 Richmond St. East , Tottenham, ON.. Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
