

Kurt Nussbaumer, born on May 22nd, 1932, passed away on January 26th, 2024, at the Woodford Park Community Care Centre in Brampton in his 91st year. Originally from Klagenfurt, Austria, Kurt immigrated to Canada in 1953 with his wife, Elfi.
Kurt contributed 18 years of service to Air Canada. Professionally, Kurt's tenure as an aircraft mechanic underscored his commitment to aviation safety and technical proficiency. His colleagues recognized him for his precision and expertise in the field.
Outside of work, Kurt loved spending time outdoors. Fishing was a favorite pastime, and he found joy in the beauty of nature. Traveling was another passion of his, and he explored various parts of the world, bringing back stories and experiences to share.
Sports brought a twinkle to Kurt's eyes, especially when it came to cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs and following soccer. His enthusiasm for these teams was contagious, and he enjoyed lively conversations about the games.
Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Elfi of 72 years, his grandson Kurt Jr and adopted grandsons Sase and Dwayne. In remembering Kurt, we celebrate a life filled with hands-on skills, a love for the great outdoors, and a genuine interest in the world of sports.
As we bid farewell to Kurt, may we reflect on the simple joys he found in work, nature, and sports. His memory lives on through the stories he shared and the love he gave to his family and friends.
