Luigi Gandolfo

After a brave fight, Luigi went peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on October 6, 2015, with loved ones at his side. Born in Montreal in 1948, he will be forever cherished and missed by his wife of 45 years, Lorraine (Normand) and his children, Pietro (Angela) and Marissa (Marcel). Proud grandpa to Anthony and David and grandpapa to Jenna, he enjoyed spending time with them whether at the house or at the cottage. A proud Bramptonian since 1977, Luigi was an engaged member of the community with Le Cercle de l’Amitié, the Knight’s Table, the Chinguacousy Lions Club and the last several years with Chinguacousy Wellspring. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff on the oncology floor at Brampton Civic for their attentive care during the last few weeks. Visitation to occur at Andrews Community Funeral Centre (8190 Dixie Rd. Brampton ON 905-456-8190) on Friday October 9, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to occur at St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church (300 Balmoral Dr. Brampton ON) Donations in Luigi’s memory can be made to Chinguacousy Wellspring Foundation.

Suite à un courageux parcours, Luigi est décédé à l’hôpital Brampton Civic le six octobre 2015. Fils de feu Pietro et Marie (Letizi) il est né à Montréal en 1948. Époux de Lorraine (Normand) depuis 45 ans et père de Pietro (Angela) et Marissa (Marcel) il était fier grand-papa d’Anthony, David et Jenna. Depuis leur arrivée à Brampton en 1977, il était engagé et actif dans sa communauté. La famille tient à remercier le personnel du département d’oncologie de l’hôpital Brampton Civic pour leurs soins attentifs. La dépouille reposera chez Andrews Community Funeral Centre (8190, chemin Dixie Brampton ON 905-456-8190) le vendredi 9 octobre 2015 de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La messe sera célébrée à l’église St. John Fisher (300, chemin Balmoral Brampton ON). En la mémoire de Luigi, un don à la Fondation Chinguacousy Wellspring serait apprécié.
