Dad. Baba. Ba3e. Over the past couple of days, I’ve grappled with the new reality that these words will no longer be spoken. Only felt. Only remembered.
You were my father, my friend, my gift from Mom. Above everything, you were my rock, my comfort, and my protection. Losing you now feels like losing one of my greatest blessings.
A husband, a father and, his most cherished role, a grandfather. He will be missed beyond what any words could portray.
Dad. Baba. I hope you find eternal comfort in God’s arms. Next to mom. While I’ll miss you both everyday, there isn’t a doubt in my mind that you guys are in a better place. While I still am unable to comprehend that I won’t be able to feel you, hear you, talk to you, I know that you are with me. I believe that you are watching over me. I promise to see you in every beautiful thing I see. You live on in the smiles and laughter of Nabil and Joseph. You live on in our hearts and our memories. You leave your strength, resilience and love with us.
Nabil Sfeir, may you Rest in Peace.
