To The Colton Family, 
I was so shocked to hear of Steve’s passing. Although I did not really see Steve after he retired from the airlines, I happily ran into Steve at Costco one day. We had a great conversation and catch up there. People always spoke fondly of Steve and the retirees get together he organized monthly at Tim Hortons. I hope somebody carries on this legacy for him. I was so happy to chat with you at the visitation Mrs. Colton.  Remember I showed you a few pictures of The Northern Lights and chatted with you about the cruise we did to Iceland and Norway, apparently something on Steve’s bucket list. Do that cruise for him one day in the future. I wish you and your family strength, love and peace in the days ahead. Some days will be harder than others and things will get better. It’s all the good memories that will give you strength and the ability to move forward. You have a wonderful family and all of  you will help each other in the days, months and years ahead.

Dearest Crystal and Family,
I was taken aback when I read of Steve’s passing. We all grew up together first in Marvin Heights and later in Bramalea. Our parents remained friends for many years even though we the “kids” had lost touch with each other. Then I ran into him again later at the Union office where he was a member and I was working. I was the one who convinced him to come to the annual retirees party, where if I might point out he won a coveted prize the first time he went. I am so glad I got to see him again at the BSS High School reunion this year. My brother Brian  and Steve remained friends during the high school years and when I would see Steve he would always ask after him.
My deepest and sincerest condolences to all of you, he will be missed but remembered with genuinely warm thoughts of what a kind man he was.

Dear Crystal, Mike, and Sheri,

Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family for the loss of your beloved husband and Dad, Steve. 
'Sensei' Steve was always such a kind and generous person, and I'll always remember him fondly for helping me, as well as many others, with achieving our goals of becoming a black belt in Judo. I couldn't have done it without his generosity, patiently and graciously spending his time to pass on his knowledge to myself and anyone else who needed it, and always having a positive, friendly attitude and a smile on his face. The news of Steve's passing left us with an overwhelming sense  of grief.  He was a treasure to all who have met him,  Sharing coffee and conversation with Steve and Crystal (every Friday morning) was one of the highlights of our week.

Steve was a great friend and mentor to me when I move to Toronto with Canadian airlines from Saskatoon.(1994).
We didn’t keep in touch after I left Air Canada. When ever thinking about the good old days Steve was in my thoughts. He will always be remembered !

My sincerest and heart felt condolences to Mrs. Colton and the Colton family. I knew Steve from my Airline days, especially Canadian Airlines. Such a nice man, he will be missed by so many. RIP.

Shocked to see on the IAMAW2323  website that Steve passed away!  I just saw him Sept. 15th at the yearly retiree party at Hansa Hus.  I remember he won a TV in 2022!  I met Steve when he joined Air Canada and he came to my retirement party in 2001.  When he retired 10 or 12 years ago he started walking the neighbourhood  and came across me and my '54 Chevy Belair in my driveway; apparently we live 10 minutes apart.  We soon realized we had the Airport and old cars in common.  From then on we would have a chat if he walked by once or twice a week.  Steve was always friendly and happy to see me.  I still can't believe he is gone.  I will miss those visits.  My sincerest condolences to Crystal and the family.

Memories of a great son, brother and father, gone too soon.  Will miss our annual trip to the Markdale car show.

It has been really hard to accept that we won’t see Steve anymore. We feel as if we have lost our own family member. Steve was our next door neighbour. We moved in this neighbourhood almost 5 years ago. We never met anyone like him in our life, such a beautiful soul. Cutest man with always smile on his face. From long chats on the driveway to helping us in our garden, gardening tips, shovelling snow, peaking through the fence and greeting. Steve has always been our help and positive vibe, everytime we saw him. His passion for gardening gave us so much inspiration. Summer time he will take out his vintage car and made sure it’s spotless. You can tell how much he enjoyed the rides in that car.  He will always be missed. His memories and cute smile will always be with us.  Please accept our deepest condolences. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage and lots of love at this time of sorrow.

Our connection with Steve goes back about some 40+ years.  To us he was Sensei Steve who taught Judo to our 2 sons and his own son Michael at The Tora Martial Arts Club in Bramalea.  We also lived in the same neighborhood and many a days would meet Steve  during his walks and exchange news about our families.  We will surely cherish and miss those times. R.I.P. Sensei Steve.

I worked with Steve at the Airport, he was truly a gentleman and a great friend. He was a hard worker and mentor to everyone. I really enjoyed talking about old cars with him, he will absolutely be missed by everyone that knew him. Rest in peace.

Janis & I have been fortunate to have known Steve for most of our years in Brampton. Upon my retirement some time ago, Steve was the first to cross the street and welcome me to  "The Club"

A wonderful neighbor who always kept most of us updated with what is happening in the neighborhood. His love of gardening and collection of cars kept us in envy, Steve was there every winter storm as well to help out. Woodworking project advice frequently helped get through issues and finding a better way of doing things.

We are deeply saddened by Steve's passing. He was not only an exceptional neighbor but also a dear friend to our daughter. Steve's kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and his genuine love and care for her was evident in the countless everyday acts of kindness he showed her. From building a snowman together to spending meaningful hours chatting in the front yard during the challenging periods of COVID-19 lockdowns, his presence brought joy and comfort to our whole family. Steve's passion for gardening was infectious, and he lovingly involved our daughter in planting tulips in his garden, creating beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. He always went above and beyond to make her and us feel cherished. The loss of such a kind-hearted and nurturing soul leaves a void that cannot be filled. We will forever miss Steve and his warm-hearted nature. Our thoughts and condolences are with you during this difficult time.

After my retirement we always kept in touch and always looked forward to the coffee get together  at Tim Horton's organized by Steve.
