Allan Harrington, 75, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2016. As a young man, Al proudly served his country in the Army. He retired from GTE after 32 years of service. Al enjoyed NASCAR racing and was also an animal lover. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara; his son, Sean Harrington and wife Sarah; daughter, Shelby Jennings; grandchildren, Coby Jennings, Victoria, Kent, Grayson and Ava Harrington; sisters, Mary Alys Wilson, Alma Schultz, Chris Corcoran and Cheryl Pierce; brothers, Chuck and Rick Reidy and his favorite sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patty and Russ Martin and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 12:00 P.M., with visitation one hour before the service. The interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations can be sent to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in his memory.
