

Ann “Nancy” (Blunt) Roy, 89, formerly of Brockton, MA and Lakeland, FL passed away on June 25, 2022 at LifePath Hospice Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin, FL due to complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Nancy grew up in Brockton, graduating from Brockton High School in 1950. She graduated from Holy Cross Nursing School in Cambridge, MA in 1959. Nancy was married to Donald Roy, originally of Barre, VT in June 1959 and together they had five children and resided in Brockton. In 1996 Nancy and Donald retired and moved to Lakeland, FL where they enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine. Nancy enjoyed golfing, her sewing and rosary groups, as well as volunteering at Lakeland Hospital for many years.
Nancy was the daughter of the late Francis and Kathleen (Burgoyne) Blunt; sister of the late Mary (Blunt) Smith and Joan (Blunt) Caledonia and John “Jack” Blunt. She is survived by her husband; her son Kevin and his wife Tammy Roy of Taunton, MA; her four daughters Amy and her husband Leo Venckus of Riverview, FL; Deidre and her husband Fred Battle of Plympton, MA; Pamela Roy of Huntersville, NC and Bevalie and her husband Daren Campellone of Bellingham, MA. Nancy was also the wonderful grandmother of nine grandchildren - Jacqueline (Venckus) LeSage, Brandon Venckus, Michael Roy, Brian Roy, Christopher Battle, Jaycie Fader, Katherine Battle, Julia Campellone and Aiden Campellone. She was also a great-grandmother of three - Aubrey Venckus, Brody Fader and Landon Roy. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen (Blunt) Atkinson of Lakeland, FL along with numerous nephews and nieces. No services are scheduled to be held.
