Bernice A. Butkus

BUTKUS, Bernice A., 97, of Tampa passed April 28, 2018 at her residence. A native of Melrose Park, Illinois, she lived in Tampa for 60 years. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Tampa Catholic, and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for the past six decades. She was a member of Ladies of the Rosary. Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alexander; two sons, Alexander "Skipper", and Martin. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and wife, Diane of Dover, Mark and wife, Marlene of Tampa; three daughters, Mary Ann Baker and husband, Tom, Mary Alice Moretz and husband, Barry, Mary Margaret Esteki, all of Tampa; one brother, Wallace "Bud" Novak of Ocala; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, interment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
