Bertie Jo Groover

GROOVER, Bertie Jo Vandivere, 91, of Brandon, FL, passed away August 14, 2018. Born in Savannah, GA, she was a loving homemaker, enjoyed cross stitching, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon for 58 years; having participated in the Church Outreach and the Senior Choir; as well as Meals on Wheels. She is predeceased by her husband Robert F. Groover, son Joseph Mikell Groover, grandson Robert Andrew Groover, sisters Margaret V. Warren, Dorothy V. Ringwald, Mary V. Johnson and parents Joseph A. & Margaret S Vandivere. She is survived by her son Robert F. Groover (Chandler, AZ), daughters Nancy G. Fogle (Stan) (Brandon, FL), Dorothy G. Skipper (Roger) (Tampa, FL), Amy G. Wilbur (Valrico, FL), grandchildren Matthew Cherkas, Michael Cherkas, Thomas Zegota, Geoffrey Groover, Riley Groover, Will Groover, Nicholas Wilbur, Noah Wilbur, Margaret Wilbur, Allison Fogle, great grandchildren Aryana Groover, Jasmine Groover and Helena Riquelme. Visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with funeral service at 11:00 a.m.; both at First Baptist Church of Brandon. Burial to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
