SAMPSON, Blanche Keen, 90, went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on March 21, 2012. She was a Christian, dearly loved the Lord and her church family at the Landmark Baptist Church. Blanche was born in Plant City to Moses and Lois Keen on November 3, 1921. She graduated from Brandon High School, class of 1939, where she played instruments in the first school band and the first orchestra. She was baptized in her teens at the First Baptist Church of Riverview where she played the piano. She was a homemaker, helped her husband in the family dairy business, and was active in her Mango community with her church and many activities at her children's school. She was truly a classy southern lady that had the courage and will to do things right. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Bryan Sampson of 44 years; sons, Roy and James Bryan Jr. “J.B”; her parents, Moses and Lois Keen; two sisters and their husbands, Louise Sweat (L.S.), Margaret Whitt (Sheldon); and brother-in-law, Wayne Whitt. Blanche is survived by one daughter, Joy Kinney (Ken); son, Eugene; two daughters-in-law, Lucy and Diann Sampson; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her beloved baby sister, Lola Whitt; sister-in-law, Louise Raybon (Wilmer); brother-in-law, Hugh Sampson (Virginia); with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The most important desire of Blanche's heart was the salvation of her relatives and friends. Blanche would like for them to meet her in Heaven, John 3:16. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Landmark Baptist Church, 6021 Williams Road, Seffner.
