You will always be remembered in all of my families Hearts! I absolutely remember that Song that you song to my Mother Sandy, when she made you a Birthday Cake. 

Sandy’s great, she made me a Chocolate Cake!

You were such a great guy! So smart and so ambitious! Please know, Your Pitts family from Philadelphia will always miss, remember and love you dearly Clarence Mills.

I was a patient of the brilliant Dr Clarence Mills ,for almost 3 years,I owe my whole family I was blessed with ,to him ,He saved my life and took the pieces I was in and put me back together after I was done serving a one year prison sentence for growing Cannabis ,only a week after my first born child was killed by a nurse convicted of malpractice when he was only a week old .Clarence touched my soul,I honestly feel he was what I call a Soul friend .And after experiencing a mental breakdown recently after a serious health scare ,I was and still am desperately in need of his guidance and to my dismay I found out he moved to Florida and passed away .I am in tears knowing I'll never get to see him or hear his soothing voice again ,I can only imagine how painful it must be for his loved ones,he was as real as they come,he didn't tell you what you wanted to hear ,he would tell you what you needed to hear,and was always more then eager to hear you out about any problem or situation you needed advice about and would literally sit there and write it out on a board or piece of paper the pros and cons of every possible choice or option there was on the table ,he didn't just  listen or pretend to listen like most friends ,he was the type to make sure you knew the ins and outs of every possible road you should  and shouldn't take ,he would lead you to the water but left it up to you whether you drank it or not,he even literally helped me choose out my wife ,and we made 3 beautiful children in 5 years .2000 characters is way too small to describe how large an impact he made on me ,Long Live Dr Clarence Mills ,As beautiful soul as they come 

PFC Mills -the name I knew you by. We served together at 8thCommBn, 1987 or 88.  It was your first duty station after boot camp. You were about 19. I was 24 or 25 and it was my last duty station as I would soon finish my enlistment. I still have the picture you took at the Marine Corps Ball wearing your dress blues looking so AJ Squared Away. The inscription you wrote on back, " To Robinson, To (a) very nice person who always takes me to the air station. Stay Sweet. From your friend, Clarence Mills (Chops).
On Fridays a bunch of us Marines would pile into my car and head to New River Air Station Enlisted Club. Once there we'd split up and meet up again at closing and head back to the barracks. None of us drank but I was pretty much always the designated driver cause they'd all be sleep on the way back. Good memories. 

PFC Mills was a good Marine, always respectful and kind. I'm glad to see he lived life to the fullest and was surrounded by so much love.

I am shocked and sadden by Clarence untimely death.  He was such a driven humanbeing and anything he set himself out to do, he would do.  Clarence was a visionary and he  was certainly a servant to the sick, suffering and marginalized.  He left such an imprint on my life that I can never think about Clarence without smiling. To his family my condolences for your incredible loss.  I pray that you find peace and comfort knowing that while this bright light is no more, when it did shine it illuminated and brought comfort to all whose life he touched. 

I have had the pleasure of working with Clarence and the honor of calling him my friend. We joked, laughed and shared stories of our time in the military. He was so proud of being a Marine and having served his country! I would like to tease him by telling him, “Clarence, you are this big tough marine, but I see your humanity and kindness…you are such a Teddy bear”. He would smile and laugh at this but did admit that it was true because he did want to make this world a bit better. His love for Cheryl and their daughters was evident by the way he would describe their times together. Yes Sir, Mr. Mills, you have left your imprint on this world!
From one veteran to another: “Clarence, you are surely destined for Heaven, because you have already served a tour in Hell”
I will always remember you as a “Gentle Giant”. With much love and respect, Goodbye my friend!


I first met Mills while working at  MDC in Albuquerque. He was a corrections officer and interested in getting his counseling license. As a fellow counselor, it was my pleasure to assist in this process. Mills always went above and beyond to help others as a counselor and as a person. He helped my son later with counseling on when I found out he was addicted to heroin. He helped so many and was so respected. He will be missed!

Although we never met I know you from my Niece Cheryl. Thank you for loving her as I know she does you. May you rest in peace.

Clarence, it has been such a great honor to know you all of these years. From the moment I met you I was amazed at how adventurous, involved and motivated you were. You came to New Mexico and wasted no time to make things happen. You achieved your educational goals,  excelled and had a great career, and through all this, you still managed to live a remarkable life while loving your family. I will miss your great cooking, sense of humor and the positive energy that you gave to others.  I thank you for being a wonderful partner to my best friend Cheryl, a father to Tabby and for being such a great friend to my husband. Your legacy will live on forever in our hearts. Mr. Clarence Mills has been a very special friend for many years.  I would like to share my first memory that will have a special place in my heart forever.  I went to BT Washington K-8 School as a Principal.  I did not know anyone at this new school.  On my very first day a bus driver returned her bus filled with student's to school.  She refused to take them home without assistance because they had caused her so many problems.  She feared for the safety of the children.  Of course, as the Principal, I stepped up and said, "I will ride the bus with you".  Before I had the opportunity to step on the bus I heard a voice say, I will ride with you.  That was my introduction to Mr. Mills.  There stood this former Marine, or as they say, Once a Marine Always a Marine.  As soon as he stepped on the bus the children sat in their seats quietly and we had a n awesome ride delivering them to their homes..  We became lifelong friends.  I love you Mr. Mills and you will always have a piece of my heart.  You Are my SUPERHERO!!!

I only met Clarence once, recently but I feel like I've known him a long time.  It was an honor to speak to him.  Cheryl, his loving fiance, spoke of him fondly and often during our early morning runs.  She would tell me their love story and how well he cared for her and Tabetha.  She cherished him and he cherished her.  
  My condolences to all of his friends and family. 
  Rest in Peace Clarence Mills. Suffer no more.

Clarence, it has been such a joy to know you over the years. I appreciate  the care you have taken with my best friend/sister Cheryl and my niece Tabatha.  I’ll be forever grateful that I got to spend the last days of this part of your journey here with you.  I will miss our boisterous conversations and eating your fantastic home cooked meals. You are now with the ancestors watching over all of us, free from pain and the worries of this world. You have  truly left an  indelible imprint on our lives. May His perfect peace be with all of us until we meet again.  Travel light my brother until we meet again in that great Boule in the sky! Blu-Phi, Sooo Sweet!
