Demetria Feliciano

Demetria Morales de Feliciano, was born on September 1, 1924, in Añasco, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Domingo and Incarnación Morales, and was one of 12 children born to the couple. She survived her parents and siblings. She was a twin whose little sister Maria died as an infant.

Guarita, as she was affectionally known, married Regino Feliciano Valentin in 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years in 1985.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother.

She is survived by her four children Luz Reyes (Gaspar Reyes), Diana Rodríquez, Reinaldo Feliciano (Ginger Thompson), and Idalí Feliciano.

She had 8 grandchildren - Noel Reyes, Regina Reyes, Benjamín Reyes, Rene Reyes, Israel Reyes, Gaspar Reyes, Jr., Lisa Feliciano Drook, Marc Rodríguez.

Guarita was a very generous woman who helped many individuals in need. In her 50s she helped several children in South America via Save the Children. She was involved with the Puerto Rican Social Club in Pontiac, Michigan, helping with fundraising events. She also donated to earthquake and hurricane victims via the Red Cross, and to those in need of food in her community.
