

Donald attended and graduated from Haines City High School in Haines City FL in 1974. He immediately joined the US Air Force in July 1974 and served until his retirement in November 1994 as a Staff Sergeant.
Donald Married Carletha Gray and to that union two children were born Chavonda and Brittney Mosley. He married Joyce Walker on May 25, 2002 and welcomed her children Alihea and Louie Lamar Jones Jr and they joined together as a blended family.
Donald was decorated during his military career with medals of good conduct and longevity. He served 4 years with support operations during Desert Storm. He was extremely proud of his accomplishments and time served during his military career and made many long-lasting friendships at each post he was assigned to throughout the United States and Europe. He retired at MacDill Air force Base in Tampa FL.
After his retirement from the military, Donald selected a position as a hydraulic machine operator at Mosaic Four Corners Phosphates Mines in Wimauma, FL. which he held in that position from 1994 - 2006. Donald accepted his last employment position with the Hillsborough Aviation Authority as a TSA Traffic Specialist at Tampa Airport from November 2006 until his final retirement in November 2018. Donald was extremely proud of his additional career opportunities and the friendships that developed.
Donald ‘Don” was a wonderful husband, friend, father, grandfather and loved his children, his extended family children, and grandchildren dearly. He was a quiet, peaceful laid-back guy. He was well liked in his neighborhood. Once retired you could find Donald at the house watching his favorite program CNN or MSNBC and any sports programs, especially golf. He loved to go on fishing trips with his late brother Elijah (Billy) Mosley. He took pride in his cooking fish, crabs, mouthwatering steaks, and ribs. He always bragged about his special rib sauce. Donald also loved to vacation with his wife, friends, and family. He loved a cruise vacation, a few of his favorite vacation destinations were Cozumel and Aruba. Donald was a superb golfer. He loved and took pride in the mastery his golf game. He would come home and say, Joyce, “I beat up on them guys today”. Over the years Donald developed special friendships with his TSA colleagues, golf buddies along with close relationships with the First Baptist Church of Progress Village Couples Class that lasted over several decades. They will all miss him dearly. Donald lived the last 30 years in Brandon FL.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Elijah Mosley Sr., Theresa Mosley and brother Elijah Mosley Jr whom he highly loved and adored. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Joyce Mosley, children Chavonda Mosley, Brittney Mosley, grandchildren Destiny Harden and Albert (AJ) Richardson. He also leaves extended family children Alihea Jones, Louie Lamar Jones Jr. and Rory Jones, grandchildren Jameel Benjamin, Syncere Jones, Ava Jones, Isaiah Jones and Taj Jones (his special buddy), his Sister-in-law Jeanette Mosley, his nephew Torrance (Jocelyn /spouse) niece Elisha and their children, Mother -in-law Junita Dority, Brothers-in-law James Walker Jr (Yvonne/spouse) and Joel Walker, his first cousins Maxine, Margaret (Jenny), Faye, Linda, Terry, their spouses and a host of other cousins’ family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
