

Dorothy Elizabeth (Betty) DiNova passed to her heavenly reward on May 7, 2018 surrounded by family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Vincent J DiNova; her two brothers, Herbert and Branson; and her sister, Helen. She is survived by her stepson, Anthony J DiNova and his wife Ivana DiNova; and her stepdaughter, Bonnie Grigsby. Betty is also survived by many great great grandchildren, great grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of the family who all loved her for her kind and gentle nature.
Betty was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. She relocated to Tampa in the 1950's. She held several secretarial jobs and ultimately worked as an executive secretary for many 4-star Generals at MacDill Air Force Base. She was the co-founder of the Dee Scofield Awareness Program. She had many interests and hobbies, the biggest of which was freelance writing. In 1977, her book Springtime Forever was proudly published. She was fond of her cats and loved all of them that were lucky enough to be her pets.
A celebration of her life will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home at 2323 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon FL on Friday, May 11, 2018 beginning with visitation at 10:00 am and services at 11:00 am.
