

McKINLEY, Douglas Lee, 80, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015. He was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky on July 29, 1935. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953. While working for the FBI in Washington D.C., he met his loving wife. He was predeceased by a son, Douglas Lee McKinley, Jr.; brothers, Jim and Allen. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara; daughters, Cheryl, Pam and husband, Eddie; grandchildren, Chris, Dani, Phil, Johanna, sister, Jewell and husband, Tommy, brothers, Hollace and wife, Myrna, Murrell and wife, Donna; plus a large extended family and many friends. He was a softball pitcher for Casa Blanca who were City Champions. He retired as Terminal Manager from Old Dominion Truck Lines in 1997. He was President of the Traffic Club, a Dale Carnegie Instructor, member of Buckhorn Golf and Country Club and was known by his family as “The Grill Master”. He adored his children and grandchildren and he never met a stranger. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (www.LLS.org) in Douglas’ memory.
