Elaine Peters

Elaine Peters, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on August 18, 1943, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, to Dan and Marie Carroll, she was the second of seven children.

Elaine's early life in Peterborough was filled with the joys of a large family. She pursued a career as an insurance adjuster with State Farm Insurance, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism. In 1990, Elaine and her husband, Sam, relocated to Florida, where she continued her career.

Married for 57 years, Elaine and Sam shared a loving and memorable life together. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Leanne and Lisa. She later welcomed Nick and Tony, her sons-in-law, into their family with open and love filled arms. Elaine's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished the memories they created together, from camping trips to vacations in Florida.

Becoming a grandmother in 2005 was a highlight of her life, and her grandchildren, Rory, Conor, and Lucas, were the light of her world. She expressed her love through freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and hours spent fishing with them.

Elaine was known for her humorous nature and strong sense of family. Her personal interests included fishing at Rice Lake and reading, activities that brought her great joy and relaxation.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the care team at Palm Gardens in Sun City, Florida, for their exceptional care and support.

Elaine's legacy of love, humor, and family dedication will be cherished by all who knew her.
