Eric Mayers

In 1982, Eric married Ruth Mary Thompson; they spent 39 extraordinary years together.

Eric, a carpenter by trade, spent over 40 years in construction. He worked locally for Friedrich Watkins, as a Construction Superintendent (Super Man). In his free time, Eric enjoyed fishing and Tampa Bay sports. Most of all he was a devoted Husband, loving Father and amazing Grand “Dude”.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Mayers; children, Kegan, Kelci, and Kalee Mayers; grandchildren, Riley Mayers, Zelda Mayers, and Anthony Mayers-Foor; mother, Jane Mayers; siblings, Joseph Mayers, Michael Mayers, Mark Mayers, Anthony Mayers, Elizabeth Carollo, and Kym Gerlick; as well many extended family members and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Mayers.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th, 2021 at Nativity Catholic Church 705 E. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511.
