Forrest Glenn Gregory

Forrest Glenn Gregory ( POP), age 89, passed away at his home in Riverview FL on Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born on June 8, 1931 in Dixon Springs, Tennessee. He was the only child to Jimmy and Violet Gregory who preceded him in death. He is survived by his three children Ronald (Cindy) Gregory of Flat Rock, NC; Debbie Gregory of Brandon, FL and Steve (Diane) Gregory of Seffner FL and only granddaughter, Taylor; two extended grandchildren Monica and Anthony.

After growing up on the farm in Tennessee, Forrest decided he wanted to try his hand at college and enrolled at the University of Tennessee where he studied Engineering. Shortly afterward, following a visit home, he was selected for the draft and went to serve his country in The US Army. He was quickly promoted to drill sergeant in the 101st and loved to tell stories of all the “good” times he had.

After the Army, he returned to college and changed his major to Agriculture. It was during his return that he met, again, a young lady in the church choir (Joyce). They would soon be married, and both graduated from UT.

His sales career brought him to Florida in the 60’s where he spent the rest of his life. He was immensely proud of ALL his children and family and given the opportunity, would tell you all about them. You will be missed.
