Frank John Tanner

Mr. Tanner was survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Tanner, 2 children son Robert Tanner and daughter in law Debbie Tanner and predeceased Deborah Ann Ziegler. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Melinda Canasi, Nicole McIntyre, Dutch Ziegler and Jeb Ziegler and 7 great grandchildren, Alexis, Brian, Allison, Gabriela, Camrin, Isabella, and Scarlette.

He was born in Bronx, NY and raised in Bergenfield, NJ and graduated from Tenafly High School in 1942 and enlisted in the US Navy August 5, 1942 to January 8, 1946. Then proceeded on to his career as a Mechanical Engineer for Bechtel Engineering for 23 years. Frank relocated to Tampa, FL and spent the remaining 10 years of his career with Badger Engineering and retired in 1986.

A visitation for Frank will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511 with a funeral service following.

A committal service will occur Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
