Gaithel was a hard working man and always provided for his family. Never was one to call in sick and instilled that work ethic in his four kids of whom he was very proud.
He Loved to talk about his memories from Kentucky where he was born and grew up working for his uncles on the farms and the coal mines. He always took time for vacations in the summer which consisted of fishing places, and the kids learned they had to entertain themselves hiking in the woods and wading in the fishing lakes catching poison ivy and leeches. He also loved his time at Lake Istapoka fishing and visiting with the neighbors.
In the final days, all his children and some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to spend some time with him.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.HillsboroMemorial.com for the Barger family.
