McHENRY, Garland Neil, 75, of Valrico formerly of La Farge, Wis. Entered into rest February 18, 2016. Garland graduated from East High School in Rockford, Ill., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in vending for 32 years. Garland was a member of Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church; he was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, member of the Strawberry Ridge Veteran’s Club and Woodshop, a member of the state and national Grange for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, and brother. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sharon; son, Shawn; daughter, Brenda Clarke (Mckenzie Flowers); grandchildren, Phylicia Burdgess (Derrick), Cameron Clarke (Bea), Brandon Clarke; great-grandchildren, Derian Burdgess, Trinity Clarke, Rajendra Permaul, Reanna Permaul; adopted daughter, Christina Watt; sister, Paula Westrope. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, interment to follow in Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
