Ismay Imogene Rodrigues (nee Reynolds) age 96 passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL.

A Tampa resident since 1980, Imogene was born on April 25, 1928 in Essequibo (Wakenam Island), British Guiana. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Hugh Rodrigues (2017).

She is survived by her children Hugh of Thornton Labs (Patsy), Wendy Rodrigues of The Mosaic Company (Anthony), Richard of Rodrigues Roofing & Waterproofing (Maria Julia), Jennifer Rodrigues Darchiville cosmetologist, and Oliver of Florida Transportation Engineering.

Grandmother of Christina Darby (Cory), Victor Suarez (Vanessa Maria), Jackeline Vanessa Suarez, John Paul (Brittany), Brian (Shyla), and Gabrielle Lanigan. Great-grandmother of Angel, Kimberly, Natalie, Illiana, Reylina, Ava, Finn John, Ella Rose. Great-great grandmother of Abraham and Gabriel.

Sister of James Seetram (Zita) of Guyana, Herman Seetram (deceased) (Yvonne, deceased) of Jacksonville, FL., and Rosemund Bamfield (deceased) of Guyana.

Relative of the Bidder, Birbal, Roman, Hinds, Moore, and Phillips families.

Before migrating to Florida, she was the supervisor of the stenographer section of Cameron & Shepherd Attorneys-at-Law, the oldest law firm in Guyana. In Tampa, she worked for Hill, Hill & Dickinson Attorneys-at Law, Foley & Lardner Attorneys-at-Law, various other attorneys, and Thornton Laboratories.

A visitation for Imogene will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mary Help of Christians Church, 6400 E Chelsea St, Tampa, FL 33610.

A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.

A Repast Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024. Doors open 11:00am to 3:00pm at Winthrop Barn Theatre, 11349 Bloomingdale Avenue, Riverview, FL 33578
