MORGAN, James E. Sr., entered into rest Wednesday, August 21, 2013. He had an exemplary career in the retail industry. James served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII in the European Theater. He went in as a Private and was honorably discharged 6 years later as a Captain. He participated in many of some of the more dangerous missions bombing strategic targets behind enemy lines. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Susan and Joan Morgan; brothers, John P. and Paul Morgan; and sisters, Bernice Eshelman and Betty Lindberg. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Lorraine Morgan; sister Ruth Barfield and brother David Bock; sons, James E. Morgan Jr. (Oriana) and Steven Cole Morgan; 6 granddaughters; and 3 great-grandsons. A memorial service will be held 3 pm on Saturday, August 31 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sun City Center. James will be remembered by his friends and family as a great father, a loyal friend, an excellent actor and a very effective leader.
