James spent over 50 years in music ministry with his wife. As his three children grew, they joined and ministered as a family in churches, nursing homes and prisons throughout the state of Florida with the Abe Brown Prison Ministry Crusades. James was a long-time bowler and an avid photographer. He was married to his cherished bride, Ruth for sixty-three years.
James was predeceased by his sons, Steven Thomas Rook and Rich Allen Rook. James is survived by his wife Ruth Victoria Rook, their children Shelly Fredlund (Keith), Timothy Rook (Tonja), Mark Rook (Nicole), five grandchildren Anthony Rook (Alexandria), Eric Rook (Kathryn), Jeffrey Rook, Blake Rook (Victoria), Averi Rook and three great grandchildren Landon Rook, Elena Rook and Dylan Rook.
