Jean Alphonse Letang, 80, of Gibsonton, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 21,2022. Jean was born August 19th, 1941 on the island of Guadeloupe in the French West Indies, the son of Cyril Letang-Dominique and Marie Lavinier. Father of Cordelle, Randy, Stephen, Nicole, and Paul. Doting grandfather of Tyler, Sebastian, Gabrielle, Greyson, Preston, Aubry, Tristan, and Austin. Our father has a very large extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; too many to list here, whom all mourn his passing, as if a star had fallen from the heavens.
Our father was not one to make a fuss about such occasions, seeing it as much to do about nothing. Well regardless, we are honoring him for his steadfast dedication to his family; his wife Theresa who passed away in 2020 and his children; and the lifetime of memories he helped create. He will be dearly missed because he had a mighty presence, a great smile and a contagious laugh that brings tears to those that knew him even now. Goodbye dad, till next we meet.
