Jimmy Ren Pruitt

Jimmy Ren Pruitt, age 76, went into the open, loving arms of God on 10/10/13 at 4:15 pm. Jimmy was born in Tennessee and moved to Florida in 1982, where he was employed by the State of Florida DMV. In 1989 he joined Jacobson Homes in Safety Harbor, Florida as Quality Control Manager until his death.

He was preceded in death by his father, Renfro Pruitt; and mother, Fay Pruitt.

He was an avid outdoors men involving hunting, fishing, and golf. He will be sadly missed by his loving family. His wife and soul mate, Mary Jo, of 59 years. One son, Robert Ren, wife Kim, two daughters, Kathy Fay, husband Bryan, and Patty Jo, husband John and 8 grandchildren, Kristina, Justin, Kaitlyn, Steven, Shauna, William, Janeve, and Robi, brother, Walter Pruitt (Sue) of Woodstock, Georgia; and sister, Bettye Jo Chumney (Jim) of Jackson, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held at Stowers Funeral Home on 10/15 from 6-8 pm, with funeral service at Bell Shoals Baptist Church on 10/16 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rummage officiating. Interment following at Limona Cemetery on Lakewood Drive, Brandon. Gathering of family and friends resume at Bell Shoals Baptist Church at 4:00 pm.
