Joann Patricia Phillips

With great sorrow, the family of JoAnn Patricia Phillips would like to announce her passing on February 17, 2022 in the presence of those most dear to her. A dedicated and devout Christian, JoAnn never met a stranger and left an everlasting impression on everyone she ever met with her loving nature and kind ways.

JoAnn was born in Lake City, Florida on September 26, 1946 and graduated from Mulberry High School. She later obtained a cosmetology degree from Suwanee Technical College and maintained a relationship with numerous clients for numerous years. JoAnn loved to interact with her community and church family and was very involved with Meals on Wheels for much of her life.

After marrying the love of her life, Gary H. Phillips, on October 3, 1982, she relocated to Valrico, FL and later to Apollo Beach, FL where she and her husband created a successful business. Together, she and Gary were unstoppable and enjoyed running the business as well as traveling, attending trade shows and visiting their locations in various states. In her spare time, JoAnn was known to focus on her passion of cooking and baking, often time creating an elaborate spread to share with her family and anyone that would visit.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Gill, Jr. Her surviving family includes her loving husband, Gary H. Phillips, daughter, Stephanie Reichert (Valrico), granddaughter Shelby (Dustin) Clark of Fairbanks, AK, grandson Wesley Reichert (Valrico) and her beloved great-grandson Julius Clark. Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday February, 26, 2022 beginning at 3pm at Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery Funeral Home 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511.
