John M. Puthusseril, age 86, of Glenview, IL, transitioned to glory on February 26, 2022, in Tampa, FL. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. John was born on July 15, 1935, in Kidangoor, Kerala, India. He earned two degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. John chased his dreams by migrating to the United States to continue his education in July 1968 with $7 in his pocket. His humble beginnings as an engineer started with many trials, tribulations, and enduring battles, but by the grace of God, he became a highly successful and legendary business entrepreneur. John went on to influence the trajectory of many people’s lives. He was passionate about staying active and remaining healthy. He was an avid sportsman, playing soccer, volleyball, tennis, and at the age of 82, he even picked up pilates. John was a champion cheerleader for his grandchildren’s and Malayalee community’s sports teams. He is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Molley (Pathiyil family), children: Sabina (Jeoji Cherian), Mathew Puthusseril (Deepthy), Robin Puthusseril, Jasmine (Shino Myalil), and his 10 loving grandchildren: Hope, Jonathan, Alexander, John Elijah, Grace, Arianna, Zachary, Xavier, Vincent, and Dominic. Although his aged physical heart dwindled in strength and took him from this world, his loving and devoted heart steadfastly remains as a radiant light and inspiration for all.
To begin the Celebrations of his life, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Knanaya Community Center (2620 Washington Rd. Valrico, FL) from 5-8pm.
