Leticia D. Thompson

Leticia D. Thompson died peacefully on February 20, 2026 in Brandon, Florida at the age of 81. Leticia is survived by her children Anita Spivey, Matthew Thompson, and Jeannie Thompson- Pirez, sisters Amencia Policky, Vicki Osborne, Marilyn Sarmiento, Lordes Santos, brother Carlito Dabalos, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great children with one on the way. Leticia was born in Tacloban, Philippines to Mateo and Rosela Dabalos.

She met and married Donald Thompson. She moved to the United States in 1965 and became a U.S. citizen and raised her family with Donald as a military spouse. Leticia was a cosmetologist for 20 years. She retired after working at Love’s Salon in Brandon for majority of those years. She loved to go bowling, play bingo and crochet. Fun Fact - she always wanted to feed you when you visit her. Of course Filipino style.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd, Brandon FL 33511. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am.

Interment will take place after Mass at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens at 2323 Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511 with a small reception to follow on site All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leticia’s life.
