Marcos had the kindest eyes—the kind that saw the good in people before they even saw it in themselves. His smile could brighten any room, and his presence was like sunshine—effortlessly warm, always comforting. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome, understood, and valued.
He was a sensitive soul, tender and loving, effortlessly nice, and deeply loyal to those he cared for. Marcos was the kind of man who did everything for his family—not just providing for them but raising them with strong values, integrity, and a deep sense of faith. He lived with character, honesty, and perseverance—leading by example, not words.

A Life Full of Passion & Curiosity
Marcos had a love for music and dancing—he could turn any moment into a celebration. He had an appreciation for cars, especially the mechanics behind them, always eager to learn something new. His mind was as sharp as his heart was big—an effortlessly funny, intelligent man whose curiosity never faded.
He started his medical career in Puerto Rico in 1982, after graduating from San Pedro de Macorís Medical School. For 30 years, he served in federal medicine, bringing healing, comfort, and wisdom to those who needed him. But beyond his title, he was simply Marcos—a man who cared deeply, who loved fully, and who gave endlessly.
A Heart That Never Stopped Giving
Marcos had a heart of gold—full of generosity, love, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. His cariñoso (affectionate) nature made people feel safe, and his sense of humor—sometimes intentional, sometimes not—brought laughter to those lucky enough to know him.
Even in the face of adversity, Marcos stood strong. A warrior in every sense, he defied the odds and battled cancer for 20 years, never allowing it to dim his spirit. Instead, he used those years as a gift—more time to love, dance, laugh, and be the incredible man he was.
As we say goodbye, we hold onto the love, the lessons, and the laughter he left behind. His spirit will never fade because love like his never truly leaves—it just changes form, living on in all of us.
We welcome all who knew and cherished Marcos to join us in celebrating his extraordinary life.
