

Mary Barnwell Hartzog was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world on May 7, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born to Bill and Ida Mae Barnwell on April 9, 1939. She is survived by her precious daughters, who made up the entirety of her world, Vicky (Rick) Engdahl and Robin Copher. Mary spent her entire life serving others and loved the Lord. She had the opportunity to work at Golden Corral in Brandon, Florida when they first opened in 1984- serving others until she retired at the age of 70 in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially on Saturdays with her daughter and granddaughter. For the last year, Mary's youngest daughter has been close by her side taking care of her and each other. Her weekly and daily trips to McDonald's and Cracker Barrel are legendary. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and the staff during each trip. Mary was always remembered fondly by the staff at both McDonald's and Cracker Barrel. Besides her daughters, Mary is survived by her sister, Edie Graham and her cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with Nanny's precious granddaughters, Joy (Creagon) Muldoon and Stephanie (Nate) Halle, and grandson Kiler (Daria) Hodge; her great-grandchildren are Mila Muldoon, Juliet Muldoon, Kaylee Hodge, Kiley Hodge, and Andrew Hodge. Mary was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Engdahl and her sister, Shirley Wasielewski, and her brother Ralph Barnwell. Her final wishes were to be remembered for her love for the Lord and her family.
