Mateo Izquierdo, 85, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2015. Mateo was born and raised in the Dominican Republic before moving to Freeport, NY and retiring after 28 years to Florida with his family. He had many hobbies and loves but he especially enjoyed working around his home and yard, playing dominos with his friends, taking walks or jogging and his favorite sports were baseball and boxing. Preceded in death by his parents; Demetrio and Ambrocina, Mateo is survived by his wife Sylvia; his children Magalys, Jose Mateo, Sonia, Jose Luis and Carlos; his siblings Roma, Claudio, Rufino, Luciano, Alcides, Elsa, Samuel, Ismael and Amarilys; grandchildren Daniel, Jazmin, Joseph, , Yvette, JanCarlos, Julian, Evan and Ethan and his great grandchild Madelynn.
