Nellie Cynthia Ann Byrd

BYRD, Nellie C., 99, of Valrico entered into rest April 24, 2018. Nellie retired as an assistant bank manager and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Nellie lived and loved life to its fullest. She always enjoyed cooking, gardening, yard work. She cherished her time with friends, and family but most of all learning the Lord's word. Which brought fulfillment that completed her life. she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Adrian J Byrd; parents, John S. and Susan W. Griffen; brothers, Johnnie B Griffin, Joe Griffin, Lee E. Griffin; sister, Julia Kangas. Survivors include her sons, Joseph "Eddie" Byrd and wife, "Robyn", William Byrd and wife, "Lauren"; daughter, Adrianne Pynn and husband, "Robert"; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Nellie's memory.
