With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Petronila de Jesus Mateus, better known by “Petita”, who left this world on June 1,2025, at the age of 78. Born on May 31, 1947, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Petita was a woman whose radiant and cherished personality touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was always a joyful and humorous woman, with a huge heart that helped everyone in need. Her infectious laughter and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on our family and community. Petita dedicated her life to providing unconditional love and support to those around her. Her legacy of kindness, joy, and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who loved her. Although her departure leaves a deep void, her spirit will live on in every smile we share, every act of kindness we perform, and every memory we cherish.

A visitation for Petronila will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra amada Petronila de Jesus Mateus, mejor conocida como “Petita” quien partió de este mundo el 1 de Junio del 2025, a la edad de 78. Nacida el 31 de Mayo del 1947, en Guayaquil, Ecuador. Petita fue una mujer cuya radiante y querida personalidad tocó los corazones de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Siempre fue una mujer alegre y chistosa, con un inmenso corazón que ayudaba a todo el que la necesitaba. Su risa contagiosa y su generosidad sin límites dejaron una huella imborrable en nuestra familia y comunidad. Petita dedicó su vida a brindar amor y apoyo incondicional a quienes la rodeaban.

Su legado de bondad, alegría y compasión perdurará en los corazones de todos los que la amaron. Aunque su partida deja un vacío profundo, su espíritu vivirá en cada sonrisa que compartimos, en cada acto de bondad que realizamos y en cada recuerdo que atesoramos.
