Randy was a lover of life. He lived life to the fullest in everything he did. He never passed up the opportunity to make a memory. This love for life took him many places. He saw the Grand Canyon many times. The lights of Las Vegas. The deserts of the South West. And many, many a fishin hole!
Randy was always happy, and his happiness was infectious. He always had a smile on his face, and was quick to tell a joke or share a funny story that was guaranteed to make you laugh! He always seemed to know just what to say to lift your spirits.
He was also a man who loved deeply. This was felt by all who knew him. Randy loved his family just about as much as any person could. He was always there for them when they needed him, and even when they thought they didn't. And the same goes for his friends. Anyone who knew him could tell you that you could always count on him to lend a helping hand, some words of wisdom, and clear dependable guidance.
But before anything else, Randy loved the Lord. His faith was the foundation for everything he did in life. He helped many people to find the Lord, and that brought him so much joy. If you ever had a question about God or the Bible, you could count on him to know the answer. Randy loved his church and his times spent praising the Lord. And when his health stopped him from being able to physically go to church, well, he just had church right there in his home. He watched the sermons, he sang the songs, he read the scriptures. But most importantly, he lived his life by his faith, and that too showed in everything he did.
He was lucky to be married to the love of his life, LaRay. The love they shared is something so rare. They were soulmates. Anyone who knew them could tell you that. No two people have loved one another as much as they did.
If Randy could be here today, he would tell us this: Be kind to one another. Love one another. Be good to one another. Love the Lord and stay close to him.
Because of him and the legacy he left behind, the world is a better place and Heaven is a little sweeter.
