Richard Wayne Clark Sr.

Clark, Richard Wayne Sr., age 79, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Richard was born in Noblesville, Indiana on December 21, 1932 and as a child moved to Boca Grande, FL. He graduated from Boca Grande High School. Married his Highschool sweetheart and love of his life Linda. Ric hard and Linda were married 58 wonderful years. He served in the United States Army until moving to Tampa, Florida where he raised his family and resided. Richard retired from CSX Railroad after 38 years of service. He was devoted to his Church, a member of 52 years, an active deacon and many years of teaching Sunday School and RA’s. Richard loved his family and the many children that stayed in the home daycare. He is “PAPA” to so many! Richard loved the Lord and his family. He has touched so many lives old and young. He is now rejoicing in his eternal home. Richard is preceded in death by his father Fred Clark, his Mother Gertrude (Moore) Clark, his brothers Freddie Clark and Don Clark and his Sister Louise Clark. Richard is survived by his wife: Linda Clark, son: Rick Clark (Sandy and children Drey and Blake), daughters: Denise Coleman, Janice Lockamy (Kent and children Amy and Lori) and Nancy Moser; grandchildren: Jeremy, Thomas, Jesse, Stephanie, Travis and Lindsay; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Lauren, Kody and Mason; brother: John Clark (Cindy); sisters: Phyllis Daughtry and Esther Dolan and several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive Friends Saturday evening from 7-9 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, FL. A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Palm River, Tampa, FL. In lieu of flowers donations to the First Baptist Church of Palm River / Building Fund in Richard’s name is appreciated.
