

Richard Fils-Aime passed away peacefully at Tampa General Hospital on May 2nd, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born in Haiti on August 19th, 1965 and was 56 years old. He is lovingly remembered by his four daughters, ex-wife, brothers, sisters, father, and many others.
Richard was a hardworking man and had a cheerful spirit. He had a huge passion for music and enjoyed playing the keyboard. He loved watching movies, spending time with family, going fishing, going to parties, and dancing. He had 3 pets who he loved very much, his cat Sam and his 2 birds Cynthia and James.
Richard grew up in Haiti and was the second oldest amongst his many brothers and sisters. He married Vanessa Macean in 1993 and they started a beautiful family. They had their first daughter Diane Fils-Aime in 1994, second daughter Cindy Fils-Aime in 1996, third daughter Richeland T. Fils-Aime in 1997, and fourth daughter Sara Fils-Aime in 2001. He also loved Vanessa’s stepson John Macean as if he was his own. He loved his children and worked so hard for them to have a great life.
Richard graduated from the University of Baltimore in January of 2015 with his Bachelors of Science in accounting. He worked in tax accounting and immigration services for many years. He had many side hustles that he loved such as buying, selling, and fixing cars.
Richard was such a great man and will be missed by so many.
A visitation for Richard will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at The Crossing Church, 2409 E. College Avenue, Ruskin, FL 33570.
