Rita Jo North

Rita Jo was born on November 25, 1940 to Mr and Mrs John Patti in Dunkirk, New York. After graduating from Dunkirk Senior High School in 1958 she went to Doyle Beauty School in Buffalo, New York to obtain her license as a full specialist cosmologist.

Upon moving to Florida with her husband, Peter North and her two children she worked at Guys and Dolls Salon for over 35 years. She continued to work until she was 76 years old. She was an artist.

Rita Jo enjoyed the adventures she shared with her husband and friends traveling to Europe.She and her late husband shared a weekly Saturday date night from the time they married until shortly before he passed. She loved to shop with her daughter and granddaughters. When her health proved too big of a challenge to shop, she found online shopping. Her son and daughter in law moved many times across the United States and that provided yet another reason to travel, which made her happy. Rita Jo looked forward each year to spending Beach time with her sister, Marlene and brother-in-law, Jim. Nothing made her feel more blessed and complete than spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Peter North and her parents, Lean and John Patti. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Flanagan,(Steve), son, Scott North (Michele), Grandchildren, Laura Lyle(Landry), Alexander North (Cassandra), Megan Flanagan, Ella Grace North, Her GreatGrandchild, Huey, Her sister, Marlene Wright (James), Niece, Jennifer Wright, Nephew, Jonathan Wright (Rachel) and their children, Jonah and Dean.
