With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert Graham Keesler Jr. on February 20, 2025, at the age of 60. Born in Tampa, Florida, on July 5, 1964, he was the beloved son of the late Norma Yvonne Boza Keesler and Robert Graham Keesler.
Robert grew up in the neighborhood of Wellswood, where he formed lasting bonds with family and friends that stayed with him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Jesuit High School and the University of South Florida, he remained deeply connected to his Tampa roots, carrying the spirit of his hometown with him wherever he went. His love for life was contagious—whether cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays, supporting IMSA motorsports, or rallying behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Michigan State Spartans, Robert’s passion for his interests brought light to those around him.
Carlos Santana’s guitar wasn’t just music to Robert—it was therapy, it was rebellion, and it was his escape. If heaven has a soundtrack, Robert is surely front and center, feeling every note as only he could.
He is survived by his wife Amanda Taylor; children, Brittany Keesler, Caitlyn Cordoba (husband Andres Cordoba) and Corey Keesler; grand-daughter Isabella Cordoba; his sister Gerene Keesler; his stepsons Nathan Gonzales, Bryson Gonzales and Caleb Gonzales as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family would like to thank Robert's caretakers, for their compassionate care and unwavering support. We are also deeply grateful to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital – North for their excellent care and support during Robert’s final days.
Though we grieve his loss, we find comfort knowing that Robert has found peace. As John 14:2 reminds us, “In my Father’s house are many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you.” Robert is now free. Free from pain, free from struggle and may his spirit soar where love and light never fade.
The family will share service arrangements in the coming days. We appreciate your love and support and will provide updates as soon as they are available.
