He is survived by his mother, Elisa Becerra, and his stepfather, Juan Becerra of Tampa; his children, Christian and Amy Robles; his grandchildren, Noa and Kai Robles of California; his sisters, Monica and Gabby; and many beloved family members from coast to coast. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joaquin Robles. Roberto was born on March 30, 1969, in Mexico City to Elisa Becerra and Joaquin Robles.
Today, we gather to honor the life of Roberto Robles—a man whose presence filled every room with quiet strength, steady warmth, and a deep, unmistakable love for the people around him. Roberto lived a life rooted in purpose, shaped by hard work, devotion to family, and a genuine appreciation for the joys that make a life meaningful.
Roberto loved the outdoors. Whether he was casting a line into the raging ocean or tracking game through the woods, he found peace and connection in nature. Fishing and hunting weren’t just hobbies for him, they were moments of reflection, tradition, and gratitude. They grounded him, connected him to those he loved, and allowed him to pass down stories and skills that will live on long after today.
He was also a man who believed deeply in the value of work.
Roberto took pride in everything he did. He began as a sandblaster at the AJC Company, showing up fully and consistently, with a sense of responsibility that inspired everyone around him. Later, through his own company, California Sandblasting and Coating Corp., he expanded his craft across several states.
And if you ever sat at Roberto’s table, you know that cooking was one of his greatest gifts. He cooked the way he lived—with heart. Whether he was preparing a simple meal for family or a feast for friends, Roberto poured himself into every dish. Food was his way of bringing people together, of celebrating life, and of saying “I love you” in the way he knew best.
Though life was not always kind to him, he met every challenge with quiet strength and an enduring sense of hope. Even in the hardest moments, he chose optimism, believing that brighter days were still ahead. His resilience and positive spirit reminded us that hardship does not define a life—hope does. That hope is part of the legacy he leaves with us, and it will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Roberto expressed his love not through grand gestures, but through everyday moments—through laughter, shared meals, and the quiet reliability of simply being there. He was a kind person, who made you feel safe, welcome, and valued.
Today, we mourn the loss of “Beto”. Roberto’s spirit lives on in the stories we tell, the meals we share, the lessons he taught, and the memories we carry forward.
May we honor him by living with the same sincerity, devotion, and appreciation for the world around us. And may we find comfort in knowing that a man like Roberto never truly leaves us—he lives on in every life he touched.
Rest in peace, Roberto. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
