Ronald was born on November 30th, 1941, to Clearance and Emma Watkins on the side of the road in Ocala Florida while traveling. He was the third of five boys. As a teenager he worked in the family businesses with his dad painting barns, in agricultural fields and a septic tank business which he later became a partner and then owner of. He also started a Paving company which he ran until his late 70s.
Ronald enjoyed making dune buggies, picnic tables, RVs and anything else he set his mind to. He was adventurous and enjoyed boating, traveling, camping, hunting, and amusements parks. He was a great story-teller who could make you belly laugh just because of how much he enjoyed reliving and sharing his memories. Everyone knows he loved his Western movies.
Ronald met Judy, the love of his life at a Tent Revival when they were teenagers. They wed and had three children, Teresa, Cindy and Brenda. They created a life full of love and great memories. Their legacy is continued on through their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
After retiring, Ronald spent his time enjoying the wildlife around his home, driving through the woods, making and shooting guns and ammo, watching old movies and most of all visits from family and friends.
Ronald was predeceased by his wife Judy, father Clarence, mother Emma, brothers Claude, Junior, Raleigh, and Gary. He is survived by his daughters Teresa (Israel), Cindy (Kevin), Brenda (Brian), grandchildren Drew (Janelle), Tony (Mandy), Brandi (Brian), Chris (Sara), Jennie (Robbie), Gavin, Garrett, great grandchildren Miranda, Holley, Franki, Aubree, Jaxson, Ainslee, Paisley, Braxton, Leia, Bryson, Malakai, Elijah, Jacob, and Brinley.
