How could one forget your infectious smile
Thank you for creating the best memories of our young lives in South Beach, will never forget you dancing & singing Kanye west in the streets early in the morning, or third wheeling on all those dates, sawadee! Thank you for creating the best little babies with Gayeon & for being such a good partner in life to her.  She will do you proud.

Andy was only 5 and I was 10 when we first met. Our parents were really close friends, and I remember spending a lot of time at their house. We’d play for hours with his train set and all those cool 90s toys. We’d play tag and hide-and-seek all night while our moms chatted. I remember a swing tied to an oak tree in their backyard—that swing was the best part of my visits; I always looked forward to it. 

Even as we got older, that memory stuck with me. We were kids in a simpler time, and those moments meant everything to me. Life took us on different paths, but Andy was always in my heart. I’d often wonder how he was doing and wish him all the best. We hit it off again about four or five years ago. He told me he got married, has kids, and became a chef — I was so proud of him. We spent some time reminiscing about the old days and laughing. 

Andy, your youthful spirit and kind heart are unforgettable. Thanks for all the great memories. 

Goodbye, my friend — this isn’t really the end, just the start of a new chapter from the great beyond.

I will always remember Andy as a cheerful, slightly mischievous, friendly face back in the Villa Madonna c/o 2004 days. When I began my culinary career Andy reached out with helpful suggestions and encouragement and I'll always be grateful. Sending my deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends who miss him dearly. RIP Chef.

I had the pleasure of meeting "little Andy" a few times and the thing that stands out to me is his smile,, he had the biggest smile - it was contagious, you couldn't help but smile when you were around him.  I remember when you found out you were pregnant, you were the happiest I had ever seen you, and I remember how we (all your co-workers at Poe & Assoc) teased you about how big you were & we had the biggest baby shower to celebrate the arrival of your little bundle of joy.

I will start by saying what I'm sure everyone else is feeling I am glad our paths crossed and that I got to know you for however long you were blessed to be a part of our lives. For me you knew how to turn sad situations into light and positivity. You could always bring a forth a smile. You could be serious, funny and boy did you know how to have a good time. You helped me see the good in life. To laugh through tears. You were kind and even after all these years apart you always checked in. I wish there was more time, more moments, more laughter. It saddens me that you left this world and your beautiful family so early. Riding the A train to harlem will never be the same. My glass of E&J is ready. Rest easy, my friend. Shalalga! You were a real one and will be greatly missed.

I have no words to describe this feeling. The last thing I thought I would be doing is writing this message... 

Ziggy, I love you and I will miss you terribly. 13+ years ago we were line cooks at Gotham Steak and I will never forget all the memories we created together... We weren't just coworkers, we were family. We trusted eachother wholeheartedly and man did it show during service. We were UNTOUCHABLE. 

Your energy, passion, humor, knowledge and talent was infectious and it kills me that I never told you that directly.  Though, we never got to manage together I know you were a fucking boss. I love you man, rest easy.

We lost an incredibly talented chef and an even more wonderful person. Ziggy’s passion, creativity, and positive spirit made every day brighter. You will be deeply missed brother!

Chef Rudolph today we say goodbye to him with a heart full of sadness but also with gratitude for having had the privilege of having shared 2 years of my life in each task.

Talking about the chef is talking about a person who left a mark. In his way of being, in his words, in his simple gestures, he taught us the value of love, patience and strength. He was someone who, even in difficult moments, knew how to give the best of himself to those around him.

His absence hurts deeply, and it is normal to feel this emptiness. The pain we feel today is a reflection of the love that united us in each of the kitchens, but even if he is no longer physically with us, his memory will live in every teaching, in every shared laugh and in every moment that we keep in our hearts.

Today we don't say a final goodbye, but a goodbye. Because the chef will remain present in our memories, in our stories and in the way we move forward, honoring his legacy with our actions.
