Tio Rudy...I love you very much. You will always be in my heart and mind. I have so many memories of you and I and our talks when I was very young. Uncle Rudy, I love you & miss you.  Our family has lost another one from our Golden Era- the great generation that loved life & family above all else!    I will always remember you as a gentle, generous, and loving man - quiick with a smile, story, or deck of cards.  The wonderful family you left behind is a testament to your love & character-although we are all feeling the pain of you leaving us, I'm trying to be happy through my tears for you being reunited with our heavenly Father & all our loved ones who passed before you. Great Uncle Rudy!! It's amazing how one man can touch so many lives not just with his immediate family but his extended family as well. He always greeted you with a handshake, hug and a big smile. I left my heart with you in San Francisco!! The greatest weekend ever spent with my Great Uncle & cousins. Memories I will never forget!! You will always be loved and cherished in my heart forever!!

It seemed like only yesterday when I use to cry to my mom and dad to let me spend the weekend with you and grandma, and now some 20+ years later I'm crying again cause you're no longer here. I remember you teaching me how to play dominoes, and how you would always let me win. I also remember you teaching me how to play pool in your garage with Uncle Rudy, Uncle John and my Dad. Every time I saw you, you would always put a smile on my face either by saying something funny or just by smiling. I'm really going to miss you grandpa. The Mendoza/Garcia family has lost a member of our family, but Heaven has just gained one of the Smartest, Funniest, Caring and Loving person I ever had the privilege of knowing. I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!!

Life is a journey down a long road,as we travel that road we learn much.But we teach much also. Growing up with my Uncle Rudy in the same household in Cucamonga, Ca. was the greatest joy. He always treated me like his little brother and I always looked up to him as my role model. I have so many memories of him especially of him playing his guitar and singing and especially when he married my Auntie Mary Helen. Rest in peace Uncle Rudy and I know my Nana and Tata and the rest of the family that are up in Heaven were waiting for you with open loving arms.
