Samuel P. Riscile, Sr.

Sam was an avid hunter, fisherman, third degree Master Mason, long time member of the BOC Hunt Club, former Cub Master of the Boys Scouts of America. He retired as Account Executive and Branch Manager with Swift & Company and Monfort Foods for over 35 yrs. 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School and the University of Tampa. Sam received several achievement awards throughout his career. He treasured vacations, cruises and travel with family and friends. Highlights were visiting Europe and his prized Sailfish catch in Costa Rica and hunting adventures.

He was preceded in death by father, Peter Buggica Riscile, mother, Amada Quintana Riscile Ruiz and sister, Mercedes (Mercy) Riscile Capps Wiley. He is survived by his wonderful and devoted family; sons, Sammy Jr. (Tanya), David R. Riscile (Tammie), granddaughters Lisa Riscile Schaibly, Stephanie Riscile Browder (Thomas) and Rachael Riscile. Great grandchildren Jackson and Olive Schaibly, former wife Shirley Garcia Riscile and several nephews, nieces, cousins and close, lifetime friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon FL. Interment to follow on premises at Sago Palm Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children Hospital in his name.
