November 17, 1993 – May 6, 2025
Sharymar Cosme-Rivera, 31, a beloved resident of Riverview, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at 12:35 p.m., following a courageous and unyielding battle with stage 4 translocation renal cell carcinoma.
Born on November 17, 1993, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to Ana B. Rivera-Rivera and Victor I. Cosme-Ortiz, Sharymar grew into a resilient and compassionate woman, devoted to both her family and her community. After completing her education, she pursued a career in customer service, where her remarkable communication skills and warm personality allowed her to flourish. She effortlessly balanced her work life with her personal responsibilities, always ensuring that her loved ones were her top priority.
Sharymar was the light in every room. Her presence radiated kindness, empathy, and strength. She was a natural leader—always reaching out, always caring, always putting others before herself. Through life’s many challenges, Sharymar remained unwavering in her faith and determination. She met every hardship with grace and found a way forward, step by step, never allowing adversity to break her spirit.
Her life took on new meaning on March 16, 2017, when she met the love of her life, Haley A. Cosme-Rivera, and her son, Jullian M. Olvera. From that day forward, Sharymar’s heart expanded with a deeper purpose. Her love for Haley and Jullian became the driving force behind everything she did. Their bond became a cornerstone of her strength and a source of joy that endured through life’s storms.
On September 2, 2022, Sharymar and Haley solidified their love in marriage, a milestone that marked the beginning of a new and deeply fulfilling chapter in her life. Through love, family, and resilience, Sharymar found her calling—and she embraced it fully.
Despite tremendous losses—including the heartbreaking passing of her son Adrian Jovani Cosme, the devastation of Hurricane Helene, the loss of irreplaceable possessions, and the progression of her illness—Sharymar’s faith in God and her hope for the future remained strong. Her ability to carry on, to love, to support, and to uplift others in the midst of pain is a testament to her extraordinary spirit.
Sharymar had a wide range of passions: from baseball, tattooing, and drawing, to collecting sneakers, visiting the shooting range, enjoying nature, and hosting family movie nights. Her greatest joy, however, was teaching her son Jullian how to play baseball—a reflection of her own youth spent on the softball field. These moments brought her happiness and a profound sense of connection.
To know Sharymar was to love her. Her legacy is etched into the hearts of those she touched. Her love was fierce, her compassion boundless, her loyalty unshakable. She was, and forever will be, a symbol of strength, grace, and selflessness.
Sharymar was predeceased by her loved ones Israel Cosme-Rivera, Julia Alvarez Ortiz, John Anthony Cosme-Rivera, and her beloved son Adrian Jovani Cosme-Rivera. She is survived by her devoted wife Haley, her cherished son Jullian, her loving parents Ana and Victor, her siblings Bryan, Christopher, Braydan, Yenesys, and Caleb, and her best friend Dennis.
Though she has departed this world, Sharymar’s light continues to shine within us. Her memory will guide us, her strength will inspire us, and her love will remain with us for all eternity.
Long live Sharymar Cosme-Rivera—our guardian angel in Heaven.
