Hayes, Stanley F., Sr., 73, went to his Heavenly Home on April 14, 2012. After a long battle with MS and cancer, which he faced with dignity, grace, and unending cheer. Born in Chattanooga, TN., to D. Patrick and Mary Fay Hayes, he graduated from Central High School and the University of Chattanooga in Engineering. Stan retired from TECO in Tampa after 23 years of service. Stan retired as a Major from the Tennessee and Florida National Guard. He was Past President of the Tampa East Sertoma Club, and a former Chaplin of the John Darling Masonic Lodge. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Paul. He is survived by Beloved wife of 50 years, Elaine Murray Hayes, his daughter, Kelley Caporice (Peter), son, Stanley F. Hayes, Jr., 2 grandchildren Brendan and Alexandra Hayes, his sister Patti Moore (Ed), and a large extended family. Stan loved the Rays, Bucs and the Vols. He will be truly missed. Memorial services will be held at 6 P.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. The Family will welcome visitors two hours prior to the service from 4 to 6 P.M.
