Steve, 
It is difficult to find words to describe the overwhelming sadness that has filled my heart since I learned of your passing, and so devastating to realize that I had been excluded. I wish I could have been there.

My condolences to friends and family 

When I think about Steve I think about how devoted he was to his work and to his family. I will never forget how when I needed help working around my house he was right there, pouring concrete and putting up fence.  He never asked for a dime but was all ways ready to work. 
Steve was the quiet type and kept to himself.  
He was a master at his Trade, but something else he was a master at was Fishing, I can remember going fishing with him out at the Gandy Bridge, it was like magic to me cause I could stand next to him and never catch a thing meanwhile he was reeling them in! Yea he didn't just catch fish he caught the biggest fish. I wish I could have spent more time hanging out with him but life has its way of separating us from each other.  But the memories are forever etched in my mind. Even tho it has been years since I have seen him, I will still miss him. My sympathy goes to his family his wife who put up with him, his Daughter who I know he dearly loved and his Granddaughter who I have yet to meet. God Bless you all ! 

I made a mistake in my previous writing. I  wrote 13th street circle. of friends by confusion because I once lived on 13th street! IT WAS THE 12TH STREET CIRCLE OF FRIENDS that holds the strongest childhood bonds   !!!!

I remember Steve and his wife Vivian from Semonile Heights days and being part of the 13th street circle. There are so many funny times shared back then. Steve was always willing to help and work hard. He was part of restoring our home and putting down concrete in our family room as well as helping install a privacy fence.  He was one of the type of friends who showed up when help was needed. It's never easy when a good, loving person we know leaves this earth. However, it's great peace and comfort knowing the marvelous  get togethers and joyful ways God has prepared for us in heaven. Steve's time on earth was so brief compared to eternity forward. It's not a goodbye rather a so long for now. John 14:27

Steve was a hard worker from the time he was 15 years old he held a job. He was a private and very kind man.  His spot here on Earth will never be replaced.  God Bless him and his family.  He is now in Heaven and I can only imagine him having a long drawn out wrestling match and then going fishing with his friend , Floyd Howard. They were neighbors their entire childhood life in Seminole Heights and now they are together in Heaven.   It isn't easy to say good bye , but it is only for a little while.
