Susan graduated from Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario, Canada with a degree in nursing. She served 25 years as a psych nurse. She was a member of the Whitby chapter No. 248 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the NCT. She also spent most of her time traveling between the States and Canada in her RV seeing as much as possible where she met her husband, Luther at Masonic Campground in Wimauma, Florida in 2014.
Susan is survived by her husband, Luther Horton; daughter, Carrie-Lynn Simonson; and grandchildren, Peter Phillips, Travis Phillips, and Katelynn Rose Jung.
