Sydney Nicole Wynne, 16, went to rest in God’s own arms on Christmas Day, 2014. She loved everything about Christmas and had the privilege of celebrating it this year in heaven. To her parents, Brian & Julie Wynne of Valrico, she was their little angel and the love of their life. She came to them on March 2, 1998. In addition to her parents, Sydney is survived by her big brother, Joshua Wynne, whom she adored and by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pete and Helen Stark, Vawnie and Donald Zeiger and Vincent Wynne. She will be missed by her faithful canine companion, Abbey.
Sydney was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and a graduate of Nativity Catholic School. She was a junior at the Academy of the Holy Names where she was a bright, focused student and a friend to many.
Sydney will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was the kind of young woman anyone would be proud to call a friend. Even though she was on this earth for only a short time, Sydney touched many lives. She loved her family who will miss her greatly. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Sydney’s great uncle, Fr. Joseph Duggan, Tuesday, December 30 at 12 noon at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon. Pallbearers will be Joshua Wynne, Nicholas Stark, Zachary Stark, Savanah Stark, Blake Curry and Hannah Zellmer. The family will receive friends at Stowers Funeral Home on Monday, December 29 from 6 until 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Academy of the Holy Names in memory of Sydney Wynne.
